Text Edit Tool/Object
Well, a simple text tool to create messages or information blocks floating over the scene. Next step could be data driven text, dynamically updated on demand.

Thank you for the suggestion! Can you provide a bit more detail on how you would like to use this in your workflow and where you may want to see this option?

Normally I would generate something in Dimension, but if I’m offsite and only have my phone, I’m stuck. Simple text tool would be great.

This is an excellent Idea.
As an elearning developer I want to be able to provide an image/object with labels, descriptions and even possible geo locations for students on different campuses.
E.G an interactive AR campus map with room names/numbers, course times etc...

Hi, I'm a Product Manager on Aero,
Adobe Dimension added a tool for creating 3D text recently and I wanted to share it here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/dimension/using/working-with-3d-text.html
You can export 3D text from Dimension to Aero easily:
https://helpx.adobe.com/aero/using/work-with-dimensions-assets-in-aero.html
Stay tuned for updates about 2D and 3D text in Aero!

Thank you for the feature suggestion! We have had other users suggest similar features individually, so i am going to merge this suggestion with one of them. We like to keep each item separated so it is easier to know which scene objects are the most important / popular amongst the user base.
Thank you so much for having everything in one place and be sure to vote on the other feature suggestions!

I would like to be able to add text within the app. This way I could annotated objects and diagrams, but then amend the text quickly as required. This would be incredibly useful when using AR as a learning tool.
It would also be great if when text was added if users had the ability to turn the text/labels on or off.
Also if possible it would be great to have the ability to create hyperlinks, so we could link out to other information. -

Also I would add an option to make these texts “adaptive”... I mean, no zooming with distance, keeping all same size as street names in Google Maps, and adapting in size when device screen, orientation or proximity changes.
