Object occlusion
I would like to see object occlusion. It makes for a more "realistic" experience. see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZrmPTPgY3I

I’ve merged this suggestion with another one concerning Object Occlusion in order to better track how many people would like to see this in Project Aero. Great suggestions!

"Object Occlusion" is a terrible name, should be "depth compositing."

Hey Chantel, I think Ricardo means and is essentially looking for Occulusion, Ted dropped in a good example of markerless AR occlusion. Solving this problem using Computer Vision algorithms and Depth sensing would be the way to tackle this.

Same here, battery drain and serious heating issues on iPhone 7.

Of course its heating - thats the maximum on cpu-power you can let your phone calculate.
So it needs that power ;)
I am a fan if shadows - or maybe shadow hardness controls like in Dimension.

Rapid battery drain as well (iPhone 7)

I agree, I’m using an iPad Pro and running app for 5-10 minutes has drained about 20% battery

The ability to auto detect and mask foreground objects to allow AR objects to appear to pass behind them. It maybe a great technical challenge, but would enhance the realism aspect. Also auto shadows and reflections.
An excellent start guys! I’ve been experimenting for a few minutes now and everything appears to work and is quite stable. One issue: It appears to be a significant energy drain and phone heats up quite a bit. iPhone 7. This can be expected since it’s yet early. I suspect code would be optimized as builds progress.
